“Dr Minto has led an exceptional life of public service, which has seen a young man from a secondary school background with few formal qualifications take on and succeed in one of the most difficult professions to work in – legal education”

Nominated by Amy Purvis.

Dr Peter Minto has played a vital role in the education and training of paralegals in the UK. Co-founder and creator of NALP, Dr Minto developed NALP’s Higher Diploma in Paralegal Practice, which is now available in seven universities in England.

The Higher Diploma in Paralegal Practice is integrated into the LLB undergraduate course, giving students the opportunity to further their studies and graduate with the opportunity to start working in the legal sector as a professional paralegal.

The Diploma gives undergraduate valuable training to perform tasks as a paralegal, giving them greater employment opportunities once they’ve graduated.
