Joint Diploma Programme

NPC is currently working with several Universities in England who are successfully offering a Joint Diploma Programme in partnership with NPC. The Higher Diploma in Paralegal Practice is mapped into the LLB or BA Law undergraduate course, giving students the opportunity to graduate with an extra Diploma which may open up more opportunities to start working in the legal sector as a paralegal. To find out more about this scheme, please contact info@nationalparalegalcollege.co.uk

Students

If you are an undergraduate from one of the participating universities and want to register for the Joint Diploma Programme, please pick up a registration form from your university, complete and sign it and send to NPC by email. The registration process also requires you to pay the one off fee of £220* which covers 2, 3 or 4 years’ membership of NALP (dependent on which year you register). You can find out the benefits of NALP membership here: membership benefits and to pay your fee please email us at info@nationalparalegalcollege.co.uk. The benefit of registering is that you will gain an extra Diploma on graduation. The Diploma itself does not mean that you are a ‘Licensed Paralegal’, but it does mean that you have a Paralegal Diploma which indicates to any prospective employer that you are ready and able to work as a paralegal. If you wish to gain a NALP Licence to Practise, then you need to apply to NALP for this separately, but this requires a minimum of 3 years’ relevant legal experience in the areas in which you wish to practise, and requires you to have Professional Indemnity Insurance.

*Fees reviewed annually in April
